Q: What is climate control and do I need it?

A: A climate controlled storage facility typically keeps the temperatures between 55 and 80 degrees, this is for the protection against extreme temperatures. Climate controlled facilities are beneficial and necessary for the storage of furniture, wood products, antiques, electronics, paper file storage, photographs, pharmaceuticals, and so much more.

Q: Do you have moving equipment on site?

A: Premier has many types of moving equipment free for use by our tenants within the facility such as: flatbeds, hand trucks, wagons, dollies, and even a pallet jack. This equipment makes it super easy for tenants to move throughout the facility.

Q: What are the office hours and the hours for tenant access to individual units?

A: Premier tenants have secure 24 hour access at all times (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). The store and office hours are as follows:

Mon: 9am - 6pm
Tue: 8am - 5pm
Wed: 2pm - 6pm
Thu: 8am - 5pm
Fri: 8am - 5pm
Sat: 10am - 2pm

If you are in need of a time outside of these hours, contact a Premier team member to make an appointment.

Q: Are the contents of my storage unit insured?

A: Premier Self Storage does not insure the goods that you store in the unit, most times a tenant can be covered under their already existing homeowners or renters insurance policy.  We advise each tenant that we do not insure their contents and request that they contact their current insurance carrier to see about their storage unit contents.  If they do not currently have an insurance carrier we can get them in touch with a local insurance agency for the proper coverage.

Q: What are the lengths of the leases?

A: Premier does not have a “required” lease period; however, we can write a lease for as short as one month or up to a longer term. We will work with the tenant on what best fits there needs and wants.

Q: Does Premier pro-rate the rent depending upon the move in date?

A: Yes, Premier does pro-rate the first month if you move in after the 1st of the month. The move out month; however, is not pro-rated.

Q: Are there any security deposits that are required upon lease signing?

A: No, Premier does not charge a security deposit to our tenants.

Q: What forms of payment does Premier accept?

A: We accept MasterCard, Visa, and Discover as well as personal checks, Money Orders and Bank Checks. Tenants can also set up automatic monthly with-drawls for easy, peace of mind bill pay or simply log onto our website for secure online account access where they can issue payments, and so much more!

Q: Does Premier supply a lock or does the tenant supply there own?

A: Premier will supply all tenants with a brand new, high grade disc lock upon the rental of a unit that is the tenants to keep upon lease end.

Q: What types of items and uses are prohibited of a storage unit?

A: Premier does not allow storage of any types of food, illegal contraband, explosive materials or highly flammable goods such as gas, propane, oil, paints, etc. No living things such as plants and animals are allowed to be stored in a storage unit. No public sales of any kind including garage sales, auctions and flea markets may be conducted within the facility by a tenant.

Q: What are a few of the security features that Premier has in place?

A: Premier offers the following security features to our tenants: State of the art security including video monitoring as well as recordings, sprinkler system, fire alarm service, button activation for emergency services, intercom to office areas, personalized key-codes for secure tenant only access, well lit units, corridors and parking areas as well as tenant specific key-coded floors for each tenants peace of mind. Premier prides itself at offering only the highest of quality service to all tenants of the facility at all times.
